Bryce, I don't have resolution related issues with my laptop. This is the output of `xrandr` is this:

They returned me a new laptop with exactly the same model number (Compaq 6710b). When I switched it on, I noticed it had a different screen compared to the "old" one, which (of course) resulted in a resolution issue when I copied back my backupped OS. See http://www.oetz.nl/~pkuijven/ddcprobe-laptop.diff for the difference in screens. -- Closing lid makes X hang https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/228399 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
