I have the same bug on my Sony Vaio VGN-C2Z/B although I can boot in
recovery mode or have the power unplugged, there still seems to be some
other acpi problem, the cpu is running a whole lot warmer than with the
2.6.22 kernel from 7.10, and recharging does not seem to work. It never
fully recharges. This seems to be more than just a boot time problem.
