Hi,
I'm not sure that this is fixable in policykit's design.
For each individual app they can choose to specify that
by default an authentication lasts for a session (or even
for ever).
However, having a global authentication as is the case
when using gksudo is against the design of policykit.
I'm marking this "Won't Fix" for Ubuntu, as I doubt we will
take a lead here and change this. If you want to discuss the
issues and try and take it forwards I suggest that you
contact upstream about it.
Thanks,
James
