It is very strange that this problem reappears, the dependency added to
fix bug #144592 is still in the package. Is the package python-gobject
installed on your system? What is the output of
dpkg -p system-config-printer-gnome
dpkg -p system-config-printer-common
dpkg -p system-config-printer
dpkg -l | grep system-config-printer
dpkg -l | grep python-gobject
