I use the last upgraded Edgy Eft (I upgrade it every day) with KDE 3.5.5. The command of dpkg grep to have the version number of kopete gave that :
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ dpkg -l | grep kopete
ii kopete 3.5.5+kopete0.12.3-0ubuntu1
instant messenger for KDE
