Similar experience observed with Hardy Heron 8.04. Version x86_64 Processor: Intel 9600 Quad Memory: 8GB Disk: 1GB SATA Dual PCI-2e(16) graphics cards: evga 9600GT (512) and evga 8800GT (512) Shuttle Motherboard
Behavior is intermittent but frequent.
