Sorry, I forgot to mention that I tried different players: VLC, Totem, Gnome MPlayer, Xine. Totem offers to search for codecs, but finds nothing. I've installed a Windows system in the virtual machine - video in my link has the sound (so there's no error with encoding by movie-maker or downloading)
