Hmm.. When using Places > Search for files in MY_BOOK, I do get results if I don't use wild cards, e.g. if I just search for Name contains: AVI without the "*." at the front. Not intuitive to people who are used to wild cards for partial file names, but it does work. (I know, strictly speaking, "Name contains" implies all the wild cards, but the program is not forgiving if the user does not realize this right away.)
Unfortunately, Name matches regular expression: *.AVI still does not work. Also in Nautilus, Search: AVI in MY_BOOK brings up an error: "The folder contents could not be displayed. "Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken." -- Nautilus Does Not Search USB Drive but Kfind Works Well https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/229228 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
