My box is Toshiba A105-S4211. I experienced the same problem on Gutsy, and now on Hardy.
Weeks ago when I first installed Hardy on this laptop and I did one test, and find the fan was working after waking up from Hibernation. But today, I sadly notice that the fan remains off after waking up from hibernation.
