Public bug reported:
Almost all thinkpads come with a trackpoint and a trackpad. Although
Ubuntu does support the trackpoint itself as a tracking device, it would
be nice to have a utility to switch between the two. On Windows, Lenovo
provides a utility that sits in the system tray and can be clicked on to
enable/disable the trackpoint/trackpad. I understand that this can be
done via the command line but considering Ubuntu does almost everything
automatically in the GUI, this would be a nice touch. It could be in the
notification area and of-course shouldn't be provided by default.
Attached is the screenshot of the Lenovo utility in action.
