Hello,
I just installed Ubuntu 8.04
I noticed that support for the VIA82CXXX chipset (BLK_DEV_VIA82CXXX) is missing
in the default x86 (2.6.24-16-generic) kernel.
Resulting in no dma, etc.
I had to compile my own kernel to fix it.
Is there a reason why it's missing?
