Binary package hint: kde-systemsettings
To reproduce the bug in a simple way, please follow these steps:
1) Start the Kubuntu-8.04 Installation CD in VirtualBox with default network
settings
2) Start K -> System Settings -> Network Settings
3) Start "Administrator Mode..."
4) Select eth0 and click "Configure Interface..."
5) Select "Manual" and click "OK"
6) Click "Apply"
7) Open K -> System -> Konsole
8) Type "ifconfig"
9) Notice that in contrast to what kde-systemsettings tells you, eth0 has no
IPv4 address any more. It is just gone.
Too bad that such simple things do not work on Kubuntu. Are you actually
testing the distribution before release?
