Using my Windows XP Pro if I install Ubuntu or Kubuntu 8:04 into the system with WUBI I get the right screen resolution using the same Nvidia card as described in this forum topic BUT if I boot with the 8:04 Ubuntu or Kubuntu ..and select English then run as a Live CD I can not set resolution in fact the task bar can't even be found to shut down and I have to do a forced restart to get the disk out and return to Win XP On a conventional 17 inch CRT monitor the resolution is perfect for the entire screen but not on a wide screen LCD even using the "Auto Adjust" screen feature thast is on the control panel of my Starlogic 20.1 inch LCD Monitor
