Can you please test something for me. This is not a solution, but might help isolate the issue. Could you please swap to the "performance" governor. You can use the gnome applet or something like "cpufreq- selector -g performance". If this makes the bug disappear we might have more change getting upstream support. Keep in mind that using the performance governor will place the CPU in its highest clock rate, so if your on a laptop this will reduce battery time while your testing.
