Can get to Windows network through Nautilus if it is already open; also find Windows servers by accessing the "Places" menu and selecting "Network." /etc/samba/smb.conf is being accessed and utilized.
Suggests disconnect only between certain administrative Gnome applications and Samba. The bug seems to be in Gnome. Gnome Art will not work either.
