Hi Stefan, thanks for the updated module, it correctly loads on this pci
based rtl818x, whereas 2.6.24.16 failed previously:
00:08.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL-8185 IEEE
802.11a/b/g Wireless LAN Controller (rev 20)
Subsystem: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL-8185 IEEE 802.11a/b/g
Wireless LAN Controller
Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 64, IRQ 10
I/O ports at e800 [size=256]
Memory at febff800 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=1K]
Capabilities: <access denied>
although, i still am unable to get it to associate with my wireless
router, lots of TX's but no RX's... Fedora 9 (2.6.25.x with wireless
tree) has the same issue. I'm actually running a usb based RTL-8187 as
the backup wireless connection... From what i've read, these guys have
the current fork of the rtl project: http://rtl-
wifi.sourceforge.net/wiki/Main_Page as of (Jan 18 2007)..
