The langauge issue with the corrupted plural form is really unfortunate and I will ping our rosetta/langpack team about it again today. The imake issue is reported as #63396 and the X team is working on it. App-install-data-commercial is update now as well. For the kernels you are right, we plan to have a better schema here available for edgy+1. But currently the upgrader avoids touching the kernel to make sure that nothing breaks by accident. I will close this bugreport now because the issues seems to be resolved now (or reported elsewhere).
