but you haven't put the "hyperref" line !
If I just add
\usepackage{hyperref}
then it works:

\usepackage{graphicx}
\usepackage{hyperref}
\begin{document}
\begin{figure}
\centering
\includegraphics*{drawing}
\end{figure}
\end{document}
