I've tried the following:
* remove python2.3 (because of warnings of apt-get while installing python
modules)
* dpkg -l | awk '$1 == "ii" && $2 ~ /^python/ {print $2}' > python.debs
* sudo apt-get install --reinstall $(< python.debs)
* dpkg -l | awk '$1 == "ii" && $2 ~ /keyring/ {print $2}' > keyring.debs
* sudo apt-get install --reinstall $(< keyring.debs)

kr=gnomekeyring.get_default_keyring_sync()'
