Public bug reported:
1) using Ubuntu 8.04 amd64 with all current updates and ati mobilty
raedon 9700 with proprietary driver enabled and minimal config changes.
(I installed yesterday)

3 & 4) Sauerbraten runs perfectly with desktop effects disabled, but
fails to capture the mouse or run full-screen when desktop effects are
enabled.
I'm not a programmer, and not even much of a linux power user, so I'm
unable to provide you with much more off the bat, but if there is
anything more I can help you with on this bug, please email me and I
will be happy to run any desired tests and return you any output you
request.
For the moment, I'm happy running with desktop effects disabled.
