Hello Adam, ========================================================================== Wednesday, May 14, 2008, 8:12:14 AM, you wrote: AN> You mean Ubuntu doesn't ask you for a password before update? So the AN> updater runs without sudo permissions?
No, when I run the update the applet which normally asks for the password starts then crashes ( without appearing on the destop). So the whole process stalls and I have to kill the update utility using the system monitor. If I the re-run update the permission applet starts properly and everything works. -- Regards, Peter mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] -- Update Freezes https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/228869 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
