Sorry for the confusion: I should have mentioned I'm refering to the PPC port of Ubuntu, and that is where mouseemu is installed by default (at least on my iMac). But indeed it is not installed by default in the official Ubuntu (which I am also using on my AMD64 laptop computer). Maybe this problem should be termed a PPC installer bug? Or a mouseemu bug?
