Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel

Whenever 3d windows is activated, ANY application that draws a full window is
open, and that window is not minimized (i.e. anytime there is a window for 3d
windows to make 3-dimensional), any attempt to rotate the desktop cube, either
through manual mouse rotation or through the to-a-workspace rotation, causes
xorg to crash.

I just upgraded CompizFusion, so this is the first time I've tried using 3d
windows; I haven't seen it previously working on this video card family. I have
this problem with the intel GM945 chip; on the forum here
(http://forum.compiz-fusion.org/showthread.php?p=57658#post57658) is a report
of the same problem with the GMA950.

To reproduce:
1. Activate 3d windows.
2. Open/keep open any application which draws a window that 3d windows would
render
in 3d.
3. Rotate the desktop cube.

At the moment the key combination for cube rotation is pressed, xorg will crash
and send me to a login screen; previous session is lost.

I was redirected to here from CompizFusion, where the first response was
"probably a problem in the driver with one of the GL commands 3d windows
uses."

My xserver-xorg-video-intel version is 2:2.2.1-1ubuntu13, and I am
currently running hardy.
