** Description changed: - No reply, so moved from Questions/Answers to bug report.. - - Hello, - - Think I might have found a bug. - - I use 'shc' to encrypt files. I tried to run the same script I wrote - that executes my 'shc' command in 8.04 and now I get a bunch of errors - in the terminal window. I just want to pass it on to you so you could - verify it for sure. - - The command I use is: - - shc -r -f some_filename_here - - running that on my bash file makes it into a binary file, which I can - then run. - - Now it doesn't work at all and I can't switch to 8.04 until I have that - fixed. - - I installed 'shc' by sudo apt-get install shc and I see it also in - Synaptic Package Manager so it's there. And, I really haven't done - anything different with installing 'shc' onto 8.04 then I've ever done - installing it on my laptop and other computers with 7.10. - - Can you check it out real quick and possibly tell me what you think. - - Thank you! + shc works with 8.04. Didn't realize there's a 'build-essential' + dependency. Once I installed this it worked.
