Hi. With a ThinkPad X61 Tablet, I encounter the same issue: no sound and no error (logged or while playing music in any software). The only logged message I get about hda is in dmesg: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ dmesg | grep hda [ 31.582710] hda_intel: probe_mask set to 0x1 for device 17aa:20ac

It seems it vanished after I enabled the wifi. I tried several things: enable/disable modem in BIOS, alsa recompilation (messy), rt kernel, added options snd-hda-intel model=thinkpad in alsa-base. -- [hardy] Sound card hda Intel doesn't work with kernel 2.6.24 series https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/211644 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
