Public bug reported: Right After my computer starts booting Grub, My mouse and keyboard won't work until the log on screen. I would like to be able to switch kernels, fix things, etc etc but my USB keyboard won't work. I use the up and down arrows and nothing happends, my mouse light turns off, and one time I had to re-install Ubuntu because it said something about a random number, hit any key to continue. My keyboard does not work on Ubuntu 7.04 - 8.04 upon Grub.
Specs: Current Operating System: Ubuntu 8.04 CPU: AMD Athlon 1800+ GPU: nVIDIA 5900XT over-clocked at 395MHz with latest driver Keyboard: tried several keyboards made by different companies including Microsoft, GrandTec, Belkin, and inland I expected for my keyboard to work ever since I started using Ubuntu. What happened instead was it would basically turn off my keyboard and mouse right when it hit Grub (and Grub2) and I know this because My keyboard flashes and stuff right before Grub. I am not saying this problem is related to the package "Grub" but this problem is not caused by my BIOS/CMOS settings.
