Why is restart requited after installation of proprietary graphic driver?
I have tried to log out and log in again bit the new graphic driver hasn't
taken effect and Ubuntu still say that I shall restart.
Why can you just tell the user that he/she shall log out and in again? I don't
think that more difficult than restarting.
On Linux systems you (normally) only need to restart when you update your
kernel.
