I again tried different drivers with options I took from the driver's documentation but I could not work out how to get around this bug. As long as I do not use any 3d, the system is stable.
But if I do not touch the notebook for a few minutes, the screen slowly fades out and the system crashes. It crashes immediately when I open the screen-saver applet to turn of the screensaver (it uses 3d). I started glxgears, glxheads and glxinfo and the system did not crash for some minutes. Another time, I started glxinfo and the screen went black immediately, another time the system freezed. The last output of glxinfo: name of display: :0.0 Since that happens with ati, fglrx and radeon it does not seam to be driver-related? -- glxinfo crashes after login ( systemfreeze ) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/195721 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
