Public bug reported:
It would be helpful if synaptic had a 'recently installed' or 'recently
changed' filter showing packages that have been installed / removed in
the last week / month.
These data could be gathered from /var/log/apt/term.log
Example usage
Alice installed some software two days ago but can't remember its name. She
can't find anything new in the menu. Checking 'recently installed' in synaptic,
she quickly finds it, and checks what command she needs to run it.
Bob removed some packages he didn't think he needed, but now his
bluetooth won't work. With 'recently changed' he can reinstall them.
** Affects: synaptic (Ubuntu)
