Public bug reported:
After I install Ubuntu 8.04, I try to set my dorm network static IP,
First I use the top of right the manual network setting to set My static IP
addrss, gatewat ,DNS.
but it can't work .
Then I use "sudo gedit /etc/network/interfaces" to edit the eth0 parameter, I
also edit the "resolv.conf" for DNS,
but I still can't connect to the Internet.
Is that My network on motherboard too new ?
I use ASUS M3N78-EH
