Public bug reported:
Hey guys,
Well this is going to be the last time I report this since nothing
constructive has been done since Ubuntu Edgy release.
Wayv, systemic gesture recognition, does not work in ubuntu after release . It
refuses to work in a user account but if you create a root account and log into
that , wayv works flawlessly.
Wayv will only work in the user account prior to release, there are not
terminal read outs and no errors of anykind.
Yet, it is as if it is "blocked" from being used, and as I mentioned , in a
root account there are not problems at all.
I know this is an older application , however, it does work pretty flawlessly
on ubuntu even with compiz fusion running, but only in a root account.
I bring this up "again" because I have two clients that cannot run their system
without this application. I realize that the number 2 is not enough to get
worked up about however, this application is also an accessibilty application.
So, there it is again for about the fifth time. I can say that after one of the
other reports , I believe for fesity, one of the developers said that it had
been fixed...but he was wrong.
so if there is NO possible way to get this application to run in a user account
and not just in an actual root account let me know! I am certainly as tired of
typing this as you are of reading it. Although I would appreicate an
explanation of why it runs in a root account and not the user account.
