Sorry, I made an error. Please ignore my message above. I can't confirm this error in current Edgy. It's working fine here.
Daniel, could you check your /etc/fstab file. It looks like the line with your root filesystem there contains as type 'reiser' instead of 'reiserfs'. If that is the case just replace 'reiser' with 'reiserfs' and everything should be fine.
