I've committed to the upstream SVN (see http://hardinfo.berlios.de for
directions) support for SMP systems. Currently only x86 and x86_64.
Please test if possible.
I may implement this for other platforms as well, but I need the
/proc/cpuinfo files for those. I already have some for PowerPC machines,
but I don't know how it behaves in other architectures.
