NOOP is a term derived from my days programming in assembler. NOOP
being on of the instructions that tells the assembler to do nothing.
Please excuse me as I thought the term was still widely used or maybe it
just dates me.
In this case Edit/Preferences did nothing. All I got was a blank
look from the screen. Possibly the last ubuntu hardy update fixed it or
the last reboot since it's okay now. Please close this big. Thanks
