I don't think it is fixed. Since the LTS upgrade gnome lost the ability to store the correct keyboard settings although they look ok in the Keyboard Preferences window. Everytime I log in I have to go to keyboard preferences and click on Keyboard model, change the model from Generic 105-key to another one and then back to Generic 105-key (my setting).
This is not a serious bug but it is very annoying having to change the keyboard settings every time after logging in... I'll be happy to provide more information.
