the stacktrace is not really useful. It indicates a problem somewhere in
lockhistfile () while doing the syscall close, but without doesn't
indicate the source file, nor local varibles or the stack frame.
I suspect that something really went wrong with the file handle. Can you
reproduce this problem somehow?
