System: Kubuntu 8.04 64bit.
If I try to shutdown from KDEE, the screen turns black and the mousepointer
remains visible. Nothing else happens. Then I press Ctrl-Alt-Backspace to kill
X,
now the screen with text appears and stays unchanged. When I press no
Ctrl-Alt-Del, the shutdown procedure (scripts) began to run: Stopping K Display
Manager: kdm.
