Binary package hint: gnome-panel

To reproduce the problem:

1. connect to an sftp server (maybe others) using a username that contains an 
'@' sign. Be sure to bookmark the server.
2. browse the server, verifying that information was entered correctly.
3. try to use the bookmark.

what will happen?

1. Additional authentication will be requested and fail.
2. Server logs will show failed attempts to authenticate using only the portion 
of the username before the '@' sign.

I do not know if I'm reporting the correct package. Here is some
additional info:
