Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: slocate
After upgrading from 7.10 to 8.04, which uninstalled slocate and
installed mlocate in its place, the /etc/cron.daily/slocate file
remained on my system:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/etc/cron.daily$ ll slocate
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 453 2008-02-14 04:51 slocate
Given that it is a part of the slocate package and is useless without it, it
seems like it should have been removed when that package was uninstalled as
part of the upgrade.
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/etc/cron.daily$ lsb_release -rd
