Public bug reported: Since using a ThinkPad X60 laptop (with Hardy and Gutsy), I fail to get the USB presenter to work again. It has been working flawlessly on a X31 machine under Gutsy, showing in "lsusb" as
Bus 002 Device 008: ID 046d:c101 Logitech, Inc. Now, it will not show up at all. BUT the presenter works on two different desktop systems without any problems (Dell machines), on Gutsy and Hardy (even 64bit Gutsy). And it worked on a X31 laptop as well (with earlier ubuntu's). On the X60 laptop, I tried all 3USB ports and I am able to connect USB sticks, digital camera, audio player to any of them and the connection works. Therefore, I am doubting the explanation about power supply issues given here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=626930 The presenter is a wireless "Labtec 2.4GHz Notebook Presenter". Please give advice on what additional information I can provide to help you isolate the problem further, e.g., to assign a specific package to the probelm (I'd say it is "Linux" but am not sure.)
