Marcel, You confirmed what I thought. This is not a 0.05 pt black border, it is simply a delimiter for the image, something which you can only see when an image has transparency on it's edges. I have tried printing and I'm not able to see the border in the printed or PDF exported version. I have tried adding a white layer to the images and as you can see in the file attached, there is no border around the image with the white background.
My issue is not with the Printed/PDF version, but the presentation of the document when it is distributed it as an OOo file. I would have expected for there to be no borders on images with transparency (by default) and then, you would have to go to "Object Boundaries" properties to change it to grey, but that's just an issue I have with some of OOo's intuitive usability challenges. You may do what you wish with the bug, now that I understand what has been happening, this bug has become a low priority feature request. ** Attachment added: "example.odt" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/14678318/example.odt -- Open Office Word Processor - Not able to remove 0.05pt border from png https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/234069 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
