Hello,
In my case, Ubuntu freezes but the mouse which moves properly. I can also open
the command dialog box with Alt-F2. The clock also is updated (22:36, 22:37,
...).
The freeze occurs when I open a menu of Openoffice (files, ... , help, ..).
When I click on the title , the menu is displayed, then I have just a little
time to move the mouse over 2 commands or 3 in the menu, then Ubuntu freeze.

BUT, if I wait 3 to 4 minutes, the system wakes up and all seems normal.

My PC: Hardy Heron updated the 23/05/2008, AMD 64, mainboard MSI K9N Ram
1Go DD250Go DVD SAMSUNG SH-S182M Graphic card Nvidia 7100GS working
with nvidia-glx-new screen HannsG HX191D. I don't use 3D features of
Gnome.
