Binary package hint: galternatives
galternatives uses the old style GNOME file chooser (at least I assume
it's a GNOME one). This has the serious drawback that you can't look
into dot-directories for things to add as alternatives. For example my
nspluginwrapper module for the Firefox flash plugin is in
.mozilla/plugins and I can't add it because .mozilla is hidden.
