I just noticed that bug may be relative with 2.6.22.16 kernel. I installed 7.10 on the same laptop and upgraded to 8.04. It freezes after print "Starting up ..." on screen when i choose 2.6.22.16 kernel to boot. But 2.6.22.14 boots fine.
