Public bug reported:

Source package: sun-java6-bin (and sun-java5-bin)
Ubuntu version: Hardy Heron (8.04) LiveCD (don't know if this has to do with it
being on the liveCD, also I won't be having access to this pc after tomorrow,
so I hope this is all information needed... Running on Acer Aspire 5720Z)

Package version:
sun-java5-plugin:
  Installed: (none)
  Candidate: 1.5.0-15-0ubuntu1
  Version table:
     1.5.0-15-0ubuntu1 0
        500 http://archive.ubuntu.com hardy/multiverse Packages
sun-java6-plugin:
  Installed: (none)
  Candidate: 6-06-0ubuntu1
  Version table:
     6-06-0ubuntu1 0
        500 http://archive.ubuntu.com hardy/multiverse Packages

Expected behaviour:
executing 'sudo apt-get install sun-java6-bin' installs sun-java6-bin and its
dependency sun-java6-jre (same for sun-java5-bin)

Actual behaviour:
Installation fails with this error message:
/usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun-1.6.0.06/bin/java: error while loading shared
libraries: libjli.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

sun-java5-bin fails with this error message:
Error: could not find libjava.so
Error: could not find Java 2 Runtime Environment.

Attachment contains the complete log of my attempts to install.

I did accept the licensing terms, installation through synaptic(or
Firefox Plugin Finder Service) produces the same error.
