I believe I have the same problem... I previously used to just type "javaws" into the terminal to open up Java Web Start, so I could then select from the applications I have installed; now it opens a certificates window. When I try to type "javaws http://files.gokgs.com/javaBin/cgoban/jnlp" (as per instructions at gokgs.com, which have worked on every other system I have tried it on), I get an error message:
netx: Launch Error: Could not launch JNLP file. (java.lang.NullPointerException null) I don't know what netx is, or why it's trying to take over this operation... Help is greatly appreciated. .L -- 8.04 Hardy: OpenJDK Java Web Start doesn't work with Firefox 3 if use default settings https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/218869 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
