Public bug reported:
I recently upgraded from gutsy gibbon to hardy heron. Ever since I
upgraged when I clicked on the update icon it would bring the upgrade
manger up and I see the updates. When I clicked to install updates it
would lock up and sit there and you could not close it.
If I right click on the upgrade icon and select install upgrades it
would then ask for my password and install updates.
I had been able to install software by using Synaptic Package manager
until I install the last updates, now this package is not starting up.
This is on a laptop IBM R31. I had not prpblems u7ntil I updated to
Hardy Heron.
