It would be best that you use current edgy version.
You can download it at:
http://packages.ubuntu.com/edgy/admin/grub-disk click all , that would put you 
on a list of mirrors having the package.

In Firefox, for me, gdebi is automatically called to install it.
But you could install it, with
dpkg --install grub-disk_0.97-11ubuntu13_all.deb

Well, this is not an obligation, if it is much work, we can close the bug.

A bug on Debian suggest that some people have problems with grub 0.97,
but it is supposed that this is because they don't use grub-install, so
they are still having pre-0.97 files inside /boot/grub, and mixing with
0.97 files, cause garbage, or other problems on the screen.
