It would be best that you use current edgy version. You can download it at: http://packages.ubuntu.com/edgy/admin/grub-disk click all , that would put you on a list of mirrors having the package.
In Firefox, for me, gdebi is automatically called to install it. But you could install it, with dpkg --install grub-disk_0.97-11ubuntu13_all.deb >From there, proceed like previous post suggested. Well, this is not an obligation, if it is much work, we can close the bug.
