>From an online imap server incoming mail goes in the inbox as expected.
If a mail filter is set up for the incoming mail, such as filtering on
To: or From: then all incoming mail no longer shows up as unread.
Notifications of new mail with the passive popup and beep still
function, but if you look for where the new mail resides no mail folders
have a number next to them to indicate where the new mail is. If mail
filters are disabled, then new incoming mail is properly marked as
unread.
