Hi Thomas,

Sorry for the delay - I live in Thailand and the internet connection has
been awful of the past 2 days.  I downloaded backports modules using
synaptic as you recommended.(not confident with the other methods).
I am a little confused about setting up the wireless network - i go via
system>administration>network.  The wired network is set as using -
Automatic(DHCP) in the properties. I am not sure what settings to use for
wireless.  I would be grateful if you would let me know what your
recommendations are for each setting - including if I should use the 'enable
roaming' box.

I am going away tomorrow morning until Monday, so will be able to read any
response from you but won't be able to act on it.
